Zahedi dates

Zahedi dates are one of the types of dates in Iran. This date is known as Qasb in some parts of the country. The shape of this fruit is elongated oval and its end is quite narrow and pointed. The fruit is yellow in the thorn stage, light brown in the moist stage, and reddish brown to pale yellow in the date stage. It is of high quality and is suitable for storage and easy transportation, and it is considered one of the export cultivars. This date is classified as a dry date and it is a late type and the amount of its fall is high.

This variety of dates is planted in Qir and Karzin, Farashband, Jahorm, Dashtestan, Kazron, Firouzabad, Bushehr, Lar, Ahvaz, Khorramshahr, as well as in Iraq and America. It is called Faryab and Talha. Zahedi dates are one of the most economical and reliable export dates of Iran. Its wonderful taste and of course its very simple storage and storage conditions and its many fans have made it known as one of the best-selling dates in Iran and the world. Zahedi date takes its name from the Arabic word zahdi, which means abundance.
